Take Your Dog to Work Day

Well, once again, it's Take Your Dog to Work Day today.  And today, both Jasmine and Sugar Bear came to offer their services to our office.  Jasmine is in the "Working Group," but alas, we had no work for her to do!  If only she had thumbs, she could offer such a wide variety of services to our firm.  But all she has is a dew-claw, and that just doesn't cut it around here.  As a result, her salary of 3 medium-sized milk bones has been slashed to two.  I don't think she really noticed, or maybe it's just her nature not to complain.  We may reinstate that one milk bone, just because she's so easy going.  She simply never whines.   She may bark, but she isn't a whiner.

On the other hand, Sugar Bear, when not amusing herself with the vast array of chew toys she has amassed, can be quite a whiner.  But the way she whines is so endearing that you just want to pick her up and ask her if there are any wishes she might have in the whole wide world that you arrange to be granted to her.  And then -  promptly do whatever you can to grant them.  All of them.  She isn't much help at the office either (same problem:  no thumbs), but she does lighten the mood with her silly antics.  I mean, what's funnier than bringing a new client into the conference room and seeing a tiny pile of poop on the carpet that one must step over to avoid?  I mean the laughs just keep coming when that kind of thing happens in an otherwise fairly dignified office environment like that at "Leary & Wence."
